Carla's Journey with Writing and Publishing

My personal journey with writing and publishing began with turning the first page of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I had loved reading as a child and often played library in my bedroom, but as I grew older, I forgot the joy and magic of reading. The Harry Potter series helped me remember all of that. Soon, I was on a journey that would lead to my first traditionally published novel, The Ritual of the Four, which was partially inspired by the Sectumsempra spell in the sixth Harry Potter novel.

Here are photos of some of my early works, which are no longer in print, although I do hope to update these stories and post them to my webpage soon.
